Bell XV-15 TRRA (Tilt Rotor Research Aircraft)
This one is for SimpleFlow's Helicopter - Drone Challenge, iOS category! This one is based on one of my much earlier iOS builds and now that we have the gyroscope, I can consistently land on the destroyers' helicopter pads.
Controls: VTOL controls rotor tilt, in helo mode, throttle for power, pitch for pitch, bank for bank, yaw for yaw. In aircraft mode, normal aircraft controls. To takeoff, advance throttle to 70% or greater...hover is 68-69%. To transition to horizontal flight, smoothly blend tilt and throttle to gain speed. To transition to hover from horizontal flight, smoothly reduce power to hover power (68-69%) while tilting rotors to vertical. You may use some negative tilt to reduce speed. Small, precise and smooth inputs will aid aircraft control.
WARNING: Just as in real life, anticipate descent rates and keep them under control by keeping power changes small and precise, otherwise excessive sink rates may cause the aircraft to unintentionally contact the surface, resulting in a hard landing or aircraft destruction.
NOTE: The aircraft likes to point into the relative wind, use a combination of bank and rudder/yaw to aid directional control, particularly at low speeds.
History: The XV-15 proved the tiltrotor concept, first flew in 1979, retired in 2003 and was of the first successful tilt rotor research aircraft. The success of the XV-15 prompted the USMC to pursue the MV-22 tiltrotor.

Lol, u was a nub XD
Seriously, remake this with all the knowledge you have gathered. It's a cool plane.
YES!!!
@ChiChiWerx Thanks! Can't wait!
@DERPYGRIEFER yeah, not sure how I missed the flap!
@DERPYGRIEFER I already working on an enlarged and armed version of this already, will tag you prior to release to see if you like it.
Great VTOL man! I managed to land on both carriers AND both destroyers in one run! This is the easiest to use VTOL out there! Don't wanna be too buggy and all, but since I'm not good with making and editing planes [:(] could you maybe add a gun to the front and maybe a new desert or forest camo? Thanks if ya do! I also noticed you forgot to paint the flap on one wing!
@SpartanAirplanes, why thanks! Yeah, I think it's pretty fun to fly, I like trying to spot land or simulating a mission to resupply one of the convoy's destroyers.
One of the best things I've flown in a while. Nice job. I had tons of fun playing around with this.
@ChiChiWerx
Bitte!
@SimpleFlow danke!
