DOROTHY is a tornado intercept vehicle that was built by the Iowa Storm Chasing Network to intercept tornados up to EF2 strength. The base vehicle was a 2006 Ford E250 van. A roll cage and armor was added to the van to ensure saftey in tornados. It features 2 side flaps that lower to the ground to prevent wind from lofting the vehicle. This is a work in progress build. It will eventually have a modeled interior and realistic engine bay. The current version has openable doors and hood.
CONTROLS:
AG1: Activates the headlights and tailights
AG2: Deploys both side flaps
Driving Controls: Use yaw to steer, pitch for forward and reverse, and throttle all the way down for brakes. Blinkers, brake, and reverse lights are automatic.
Doors: Use the buttons on the doors and hood to open and close them.
