Rutan Voyager 4:3 Scale Model

Auto Credit Based on Acer500's Rutan Voyager

This is a functional 4:3 replica of the Rutan Voyager which was the first aircraft to fly all around the world without refueling. The real Voyager was 110 feet long, about 30 feet long, took off weighing just over 9000 pounds, and cruised at about 100 knots for 3 days. My replica has almost all of these covered in a 4:3 ratio. It won't fly for 3 days as it is but it will go the distance between the Pyramids and the Ice base several times over. The aircrat itself is unadorned. It will take off from either of the two large airports on the main islands with just the rear engine with no control inputs. It basically flies itself. Group 1 activates the forward engine, which allows it to take off from shorter runways with no control inputs, although the aircraft is stable down to 90 mph near sea level. The real Voyager had a similar system where the rear engine was constantly on and the forward one was for takeoffs and for gaining speed for maneuvering. Even so, it took about 15000 feet of runway to leave the ground.
Enjoy this one.
Edit: The autocredit aircraft and this one don't have a whole lot in common. I think I used a wing from it so it is generating the credit.
