Scimitar 1.8 Update

Viva la 1.8!! I had such fun with my scimitar 1.8 update I thought I share it with everyone. Features are below.

Arrestor hook as per 1.8
‘Authentic’ carrier launching strop as used by RN of the period.
Air-refuelling load-out of later day service
Snappy tail art!

Controls are as per the original but I’ll remind you below
AG1 flaps
AG2 air brakes
AG3 folds wings
AG4 nonsensical now with current type
AG5 Arrestor hook
AG6 Jettison launch strop
AG8 Lights

Some notes on CATOBAR ops!
Maintain positive pitch on launching to avoid the strop blowing up.
AG 6 once clear of the deck to release the strop (v.important if you intend on landing)

AG 5 lowers the tail hook and landing is quite fun - as with the new update you can hit the deck faster and not worry about stopping before you drop in the drink.

If your spawning in the air i.e. for an approach remember to jettison the launch strop!!

Thank you and for your interest! @WolfGrenade I see what you mean and yeah that would be functional but not realistic. In reality the launch ‘bridal’ - as it was actually called, just fell into the ocean once the aircraft was off the deck but not able to replicate that on SP. YouTube “launch and recover” and you’ll get a jolly old fellow in top hat and tails briefing you on the working of 60s CATOBAR ops (If you're into that sort of thing....)

Thanks ever so much old boy, most generous of you! Oh, undoubtedly she had a steerable nose for manoeuvring around cramped flight decks. I got it to work with a rotator buried near the hinge but it just wasn’t up to the punishment of carrier landings and kept ‘failing’ rather catastrophically. I even activated the ‘turntable’ option on the nose wheel but that seeming just mugged me clean off and couldn’t fathom out why. Just like my F4s Nose wheel I got rather perplexed and just had to abandon the idea. I’m sure a non iOS user would simply mod the parts to the ying-yang and get it to work. @GhostHTX

Very nice. Very very nice. One question; did the original kite have a steering nose wheel? This one doesnt seem to have one. Beautiful crate, old boy! Top job.

Very good I will say, but do you think you could make AG7 the button to press if you want to bring up the strop? I don’t mind if you can’t but it would be so much easier and can keep the fun. (At least I think)

Thanks my good fellow glad you think so! @SakuraSaku a part on the original hadn’t mirrored across and was rather irksome so a redux was in order! @IGNikolaev and @Treadmill103 thank you gents!
