The English Electric BAC F Mk 6 remains the only Mach 2 fighter (cold war era) to emerge solely from the UK. This is considered the fastest British fighter of all time. The small nose cone carries a monopulse aerial radar, with standard armament of two 30 mm cannon. Normal runway takeoff &operations for this model (Note the model actually surpasses 2,000 mph; that was just to make the test flights more interesting).
