Northrop P-61C Black Widow
The Northrop P-61 Black Widow, named for the North American spider, was the first operational U.S. warplane designed as a night fighter, and the first aircraft designed to use radar. The P-61 had a crew of three: pilot, gunner, and radar operator. I have finally built the Black Widow! It was requested by ProcessedPlanes. Go check out her account and builds, she makes some really incredible stuff. Also credits to here for helping me make it have more realistic acceleration and speed. So this build did end up having far more parts then expected. I didn't detail it much due to the fact that it had so many parts already. It may or may not be mobile-friendly though. It just depends on the power of your device. It also has 8 guns! Yes, 8. The top turret doesn't rotate though because I wanted the top guns to be part of the main guns as well, for more firepower and destruction! So this airplane will happily take out any target you want obliterated. It also flies quite well, so you'll have a blast doing it. It comes armed with 4, 250 lb pound bombs, and of course the 8 wing guns. So in conclusion, it's a great aircraft and a classic warrior of WWII. So I hope you guys enjoy my P-61C!

Is she a girl? Lmao @GoldenSidewinder

I am sooooo confused lol. Is processed planes a girl? @GoldenSidewinder

R i g h t
Wait a minute, but you are processed planes right?@GoldenSidewinder
@Hedero It was requested by ProcessedPlanes. Go check out her account and builds, she makes some really incredible stuff im NOT "she"
@Hedero
Np!
Thank you!@KnightOfRen
........Lol. Great build! I love this design IRL! @Hedero
The red will represent the markings on a Black Widow spider.........
Thank you so much!@Wi1dSk7
Best handling P61, well done
Oh really? I have poor memory so I don't remember you that long ago lol. But that's cool! A long time ago indeed.@Alta2809
@Hedero Gee wizz, that was so quick. Heck I can remember when you were Silver!
I really appreciate the support dude. I'm so glad you like it! Also, I've probably gotten to platinum within a timespan of roughly 10-12 months? Something like that.@Alta2809
@Hedero I like this thing a lot, Your dimensions are so close to being correct too! But even still, SP makes realistic dimensions not possible without scaling the whole thing and then making you go insane whilst doing so. I love what you've done with this, Keep it up. Also how quickly did you get to Platinum
Yeah I did so that the real ones had airbrakes but I really didn't feel like making those little things.@Toaste
Dude, I really appreciate the support and feedback. And with the color, I never knew this. I always thought it was black, but I guess not. Very interesting though. But anyways, I'm really happy that you like the aircraft, and thank you so much for the suggestions and helpful feedback!@Chancey21
@Hedero Now you know :)
Man, she's perfect! Just need to add airbrakes for the authenticity.
The P-61 has a special place in my heart, It was the first warbird replica I ever build in SP and it was also the first plastic model
I ever built and took seriously, I have invested over 30 Hours of my life into this plane and this is one of the most efficient and beautiful renditions I’ve seen, anyway enough long words. @Hedero
I do have a couple suggestions I’d like to point out just because:
The P-61 is actually not black, but very very dark navy blue (most people don’t know this and some restores are overlooked and black nowadays)
Your props are way too fat, they should have about 1.7 thickness instead of 3.0
I think the flaps defect too far but I haven’t looks up the real P-61 Deflection Angles
Thanks for reading my comment,
