I started this build a couple of months ago but lost the motivation to finish it. Recently, I found that motivation. Since fuselage parts weren't available in the old version, the plane is not as smooth as it could have been. I hope you guys can forgive me for that. :) But here it is: the long promised Komet!
The Messerschmitt Me-163 "Komet". A German WW2 era, rocket-propelled interceptor. When hostile bombers apeared on the radar these small planes were deployed. Taking off on two big wheels which it ejects after take-off. With it's 5 minutes of powerfull rocketfuel it flies into position to shoot down enemy bombers with it's two 30mm machine guns. After the fuel runs out it is able to glide back and land on the grass on its small skid.
[How to use]
-1 ejects the wheels and unlocks the rear wheel.
-VTOL slider down lowers the skid.
[A few things to note]
-It isn't able to land on it's skid in the current state of the game. (It was able to do so before.)
-It's tail-heavy on take-off but it levels out at approximately 350 mph.

Fun fact - this plane type only shot down 16 hostile aircraft. P-51 Mustang shot down 4,950 hostile aircraft. XD

@Earthbenderrwefa Did you manage to do it?! I did it a couple of times in the old version of the game but once the skid touched the ground when I tried it last week it exploded.

The Me-163 was armed with 2 30mm canons not 50 cals :p

@Enkay What VonRichthofen said! A landing gear was to big and heavy and would have had a negative effect on the planes performance. A little skid however was good solution and worked well! Unfortunately, landing on it doesn't work in the game.
