F4 Phantom II

34.5k GhostHTX  8.0 years ago

This is a simple F-4 E Phantom II replica, built on my iPhone. I have tried to keep the weight and dimensions more or less correct. She is armed with a rotary cannon, clipped into the forward fuselage. There are also four under wing hardpoints and five ventral hardpoints for your choice of ordinance. I took the liberty of adding a standard a2a loadout. Action group 3 drops the external tanks.

No - This bird really has issues. The nose gear seems to fall off and she spins very easily. Not your fault, mate. @FireBirdDynamics

@GhostHTX i must admit that my talent as a pilot might be the cause to all my crashes tho

Fair point. Something is broken with this model, for some reason. It was built 4 and a bit years ago on an older version of SP - maybe thats the reason? @FireBirdDynamics

Ok, people, I have noticed one more fault that might ( or might not) be present in this bird.
The right hand inner wing is filled with fuel. The left hand inner wing is empty. The result of this is that she swings to the right under take off and constantly tries to roll right during flight.
I suggest that you order your ground crew to either empty the right wing or fill the left. That should restore balance.

    Apologies.

Is anyone noticing that the nose gear isnt attached properly? Or have I done that to myself after I uploaded?

Oh, and many thanks for the downloads and upvotes, folks.
