The F-4B Phantom II was the initial production model primarily used by the United States Navy. Designed as a carrier-based fighter, it entered service in the 1960s. With powerful engines, new radar systems, and various armament options, it played a significant role in air-to-air combat during the Vietnam War. Although lacking some advanced avionics of later variants, the F-4B Phantom II demonstrated speed and versatility. Though, as better variants emerged, the F-4B was replaced by the F-4J variant later on
