The Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 MAX 8 airliner was making a scheduled flight ET302 en route from Addis Ababa to Nairobi, but 7 minutes after takeoff it crashed to the ground near Debre Zate (Oromia).
All 157 people on board were killed — 149 passengers and 8 crew members.
The crash of Flight 302 remains the largest in the history of Ethiopia and the country's aviation, being one of the 100 largest disasters in aviation history.
