NASA 2020 Mars Mission Helicopter
This helicopter will be on the 2020 Mars rover mission. It provides a faster way to photograph the surface of other planets. This flies very well. It is a very small build, but the one in real life is also very small(weighing less than 4lbs). The duel rotor system takes care of the torque issue meaning you don’t need a tail rotor. If you put the VTOL one notch up from its starting position and then put the throttle up, then the craft will hover 10-11 feet off the groud. If you have the VTOL in the same position during landing and you put the throttle all the way down or the craft runs out of fuel, it will very slowly land itself. These features make it easy to hover and land. There is a gyro in the craft, but the only function it gives is Yaw. The craft can get going pretty fast. Make sure not to lean the craft too far or else it will not want to come back up to an upright state. Overall it’s a fun craft to fly. Happy Flying & Upvote For More!
