The PL-900, a four-engined airliner to compete with the B707, DC-8, and C-880. The PL-900 was designed as a jet airliner in order to get lots of money from what was considered “modern” at the time. To save time, it was based on the PL-810, a s t r e t c h e d PL-800 to get it to the market early. It was advanced for it’s time, but was outclassed when large 737 variants came to the market.
