History
The General Motors 5-ton Truck was introduced in late 1940 to supply Britain with medium size trucks in the Lend-Lease program. But, the truck mostly saw service against the Japanese in the Pacific Theatre of WWII. The truck was made small enough to be easily shipped to the frontlines. 600 trucks were made in 1941 and were used to transport everything from supplies to tanks.
