On 21 September 1998, Cathay Pacific, together with American Airlines, British Airways, Canadian Airlines, and Qantas, co-founded Oneworld airline alliance. The alliance's stated objective is to be the first choice airline alliance for the world's frequent international travellers. Its central alliance office is in New York City and includes 13 member airlines: Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Finnair, Iberia, Japan Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Qantas, Qatar Airways, Royal Air Maroc, Royal Jordanian and SriLankan Airlines, as well as Fiji Airways as a Oneworld Connect partner.

Cathay pacifc recently operates an amount of 39 B77Ws,5 of them are painted with ”Oneworld“ livery.Their registration numbers are B-KPD,B-KQI,B-KQL,B-KQM and B-KQN.B-KQI was delivered back in september 2013,which is exactly 10 years old at present.
My friends bought me an B-KQI's 1/400 scale plane model as a birthday gift for me last year,in order to memorize our friendship.It's definitely an unforgettable experience.
