ECPD Accident Reconstruction Team

The Elizabeth City Police Department's Accident Reconstruction Team (ART) is tasked with carefully investigating any traffic accident that results in death or serious injury to prevent similar accidents, enhance road and vehicle safety, and enforce the law. The team operates a small fleet of specially equipped vehicles for their investigations.

With the advent and implementation of new technology such as drones, ranging lasers, and digital systems in the accident reconstruction field, ECPD hopes to switch to a small fleet of specially equipped Tahoes for their ART units to reduce costs and improve efficiency. Unfortunately, buying three or so brand-new Tahoes and equipping them with cutting-edge technology costs money, so ECPD's ART officers are rolling around in tricked-out Fordem Utility Service Trucks for now.
