[!] Yes this is just a model [!]

And most of the parts is unavailable to use, it's due to the part counts.
I tried to make missiles works, however that brings a lots of part counts. The number can even reaches over 1800 and clearly my PC will struggle to hold it. Which this made me gave up on making a fully working ship and turned it into a model ship instead.

I assume SP2 will have more features, so we could reduce the part counts significantly. Once it's out, I might try to make it works again if Im motivated.

Be advised, I didn't install any propulsion system in it, so if you want you have to do it on your own

[Description]

NNS Hindenburg-II is a "retired" Heavy Cruiser, that once served the Nekoslavia Navy until it "retires". However, it still being serve as a reserve unit, or a test bed for testing new developed weapons.

NNS Hindenburg-II originally named as NNS Hindenburg (Not World of Warships one, or...based on), begin to serve the Nekoslavia Navy since 1953. It had another sister ship called NNS Erika. However, NNS Erika was sunk in 1960, as it was docked at the port in Honka Federation, when the 2nd Continental War outbreaks, United Power immediately targets the warships in the port and NNS Erika ended up completely blown up by the Aviation Bombs. This makes the NNS Hindenburg-II the only ship in the class survived until now.

[Lore part]

[Design]

Overall design are based on the German Admiral Hipper class Cruiser, but still, with the identical hull looking of Deutschland class cruiser, but longer.

Of course the superstructure is very different, before the refit its more looks like a WWII style warship. But after refit, some part of the superstructure is changed and raised for fitting VLS in it.

[Weaponry]

Before the refit, it was a simply a gun-based cruiser. However the advantage is it have good fire control systems on the main guns, or even on secondary guns and AA guns too.
And furthermore, the 105mm SKC/33 guns were upgraded into a autocannon, basically something like the Italian Breda Dardo CIWS, but with less rate of fire. Still, the HE-VT makes it works pretty well since it can fire higher calibre fragment rounds onto the target, makes it have less rate of fire, but still have high chance of success.
In conclusion, basically NNS Hindenburg-II could referred as a "gigantic CIWS platform"

After the refit, the Main Gun did some experimental upgrades, with adding CLGG (Combustion Light-Gas Gun) on it for testing the possiblity of the "Future Weapons". For more details about CLGG, click this video made by Spookston.
For the secondary weapons, AA guns and 105mm Guns were removed, and replaced by 4×1 [Redacted] powered railgun. If you know project wingman, you may able to guess what's it, but it better than the "cordium" thingy.

The biggest changes is it added VLS cells, but nothing else special aside it could launch Hypersonic Wave Riding Cruise Missiles.

Jammers, it added jammers to reduce accuracy of incoming missiles.

[History]

[Before refit and during 2nd Continental War period]

(It was called NNS Hindenburg, but let's call it Hindenburg-II from now to avoid confusing)
NNS Hindenburg-II is the last class of ship that is fully gun-based. After that, the ships that built after Hindenburg-II is mixed mid-large cailber main guns with missiles launchers together, which no longer 100% gun based; or only 30-50% are guns, the remaining are missiles parts.
As the navy went into missile era, NNS Hindenburg-II was assigned to be a big CIWS platform for Air Defense, or at least it was served as a support role.

2nd Continental War, thr first contact

In 1960, 2nd Continental War outbreaks as United Power begins large scale offensive onto KDP. NNS Hindenburg-II was at the East side of the sea of Mikayae Republic, being stationary on the middle of the sea and doing normal patrol mission.
As United Power sent a large amount of warships onto the area, NNS Hindenburg-II immediately went to support the KDP ships in the combat area.
Eventually those UP ships outgunned the KDP ships, and ended up all 19 KDP warships were sunk or completely destroyed by the powerful firepower from the UP ships.

However, Hindenburg-II was an exception. In this battle, it AA guns stopped wave and another wave of missiles, and dodged many enemy rounds, with only suffered some damage from dozens of AP or HE rounds that unfortunately hit the ship during evasion. During the retreat, Hindenburg-II had sunk 3 UP cruisers in this battle with it accuracy of it main guns.
It successfully retreated from the area and returned to the Nekoslavia for repairing.

1st Battle of White Sea

Although the KDP joint fleet have 2 combat routes, but NNS Hindenburg-II were assigned to stay in the joint fleet as they need CIWS support when directly facing UP fleet and planes.
However, as Hindenburg-II was mostly doing Air Defense role, it's lucky that it could stay a bit further from the most intense gun battle of this battle. With it Behive Shells and it fire control systems, 30+ UP planes were downed at a extreme long distance, and it successfully intercepted around 170 missiles.

Still, Hindenburg-II was forced to have a small gun fight against 2 UP cruisers and a battleship as UP fleet wanted to damage KDP air defense ability by sinking the Hindenburg-II.
However, this fight quickly ended with 2 UP cruisers sunk and a UP battleship damaged, while Hindenburg-II only took light damage.

As UP fleet withdraw from the battle, Hindenburg-II also leaves the battlefield with the KDP joint fleet.

"Hindenburg-II Holiday"

After the 1st Battle of white sea, both UP and KDP side have a "navy holiday" as the battle were focused on the land. Hindenburg-II returned to the port and recive maintenance.

Unfortunately, as KDP navy able to built more ships during the holiday, the navy have no urgent need of Hindenburg-II anymore as they have enough ships to face the UP fleet. As results, Hindenburg-II assigned to stay in the port as a reserve unit, and didn't participate any battle until the end of the 2nd Continental War.

[The Refit]

Hindenburg-II begin being refit in 2005, the refit mostly about turning it into a testbed for experimental weapons, but also modernize it by installing VLS launchers onto the ship, turning it into a hybrid of gun cruisers and guided missile cruiser.
New CLGG, Secondary Railguns, Jammers were also installed in the refit.
The refit was finished in the middle of the 3rd Continental War, 2008.

[3rd Continental War Period]

After the refit, Hindenburg-II returned to service. As United Power had basically lost combat abilities, Hindenburg-II were redeployed to the battle along with other old ships since the KDP navy doesn't need very powerful weapons on the battlefield and they want to save some spendings.
Hindenburg-II were mostly assigned as long range artillery platform to demolish ground targets at long distance, it's unknown how far can it hit, but it's guaranteed that the effective range would be as far or further than a short range cruise missile.

Sometimes it also assigned to provide air defense to the KDP ships with it new railgun. It downed serval F-18E in the remaining wartime.

[After war period]

As the 3rd Continental War comes to an end with United Power complete collapse, Hindenburg-II beome reserve unit once again.
It's unknown when it will be scrapped due to aging, but for now, the Nekoslavia still using it as a test bed for testing future weapons or even propulsion systems.

Or maybe it won't be scrapped, probably you might be able to see it fighting the aliens or smth like in the movie.
