6 of the Boeing 737-200s were delivered to Nanhua International Airlines on March 1972, 4 months before they renamed to Nanhua Airlines, they were the last JT8D-powered first-generation Boeing 737s which marks the beginning of modern engines to be used for new Boeing 737s. Theses were the extended version of the 737-100 which can accommodate more passengers, fitted with a small number of Business class and more Economy class seats, they were used in service until they were replaced by newer Boeing 737s on 2005.
