MiG-21Bis Fishbed-N (multirole) silver-special
Improved stability, maneuverability and more realistic gun settings. Special paintjob and number for silver-grade celebration! :D
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here's a scale replica of the MiG-21Bis (Fishbed-N), a greatly improved version of the MiG-21, which was made in the 60's to mid 70's and used in the Vietnam War.
The MiG-21Bis (Bison) is a rather small and lightweight multirole-fighter, mainly used for interception of enemy bombers and fighters and also for attacking ground units. It was the answer to the new american F-16 jets.
I gave it a very standard multirole-loadout with two Interceptor medium- to long-range radar-guided missiles, two big unguided 500 lbs bombs and of course the main gun at the bottom of the MiG-21Bis. It is also equipped with the optional rocket boosters, which can be activated with AG1. They consume quite a lot of fuel, so you should only use them if you really need them.
In the middle of the craft you see an external fuel-pod, which can be dropped with AG2.
It flies quite realistic. You can throw it around like crazy, if your speed is low enough (<~600MPH), but it will cost you a lot of speed, so you shouldn't do this more than ~10 seconds and activate the rocket boosters (not that hard anymore, I had to take out some pitch-angle and put the CoM slightly more to the front to get rid of a bug, but it increased pitch-rate thankfully). It is pretty agile and manages to go around 1150 MPH with boosters.
If you are landing with the bombs and fuel-pod still attached, be very careful. Land at around 250 MPH with very low vertical speed and low AoA (angle of attack), otherwise the bombs or the fuel-pod may touch the ground and explode (also looks good, though).
It is pretty easy to land with the fuel-pod and bombs detached before.
I hope you enjoy it!
Feedback is appreciated! :)

Update
I'm finished with v.1.2 and also got a changelog for you:
v.1.2
- added AG 3 to jettison all weapons on the external weapon stations
- changed the placement and rotation of slim-intakes and placed more of them
- second VTOL-engine integrated for increased power of booster rockets
- resized the external fuel-tank to be more scale
- got rid of all fuel in the fuselages and put an unlimited fuel-tank inside for better handling and because the second VTOL-engine makes it extremely thirsty
- airbrakes are now controlled with VTOL-controls
- now contains the whole available set of external weapons, which can be placed on the pylons by yourself to get a loadout that fits your specific needs (external fuel-tank is also optional, it has to be attached to the detacher at the bottom of the craft if used)
And also some nice shots:
<- new topspeed with boosters
Will upload it as soon as possible. Currently I have to wait because I've already got all 5 uploads for the day. :D
Cheers! :)
Ground attack versions are coming tomorrow. You'll love bombing and shooting rockets with it! :D
@RyneKuczy @Skua @MediocrePlanes @Shmexysmpilot @Seeras @Quintasoarus @Meawk @CarlosDanger13 @TheGuyWhoFliesToGetHisPie @Allstar Thanks for the support and bringing me up to silver! :) This is my best revision of the MiG-21Bis so far. I hope you like it! More versions with some different loadouts will come, but for today I have reached my maximum of uploads. Also don't forget to check out the dogfighting version! :)
