A long tine ago in a galaxy far far away…

Kuat Systems Engineering built the A wing and it was used to defeat the empire. Ever since I saw it on screen it was my favorite star wars fighter.
So I built it. I’ve been working on the hover system for a long time and I finally think I perfected it. I also used a decent amount of funky trees (written by me) which took forever (funky trees is painful)

However the end result was great and the plane is super fun to fly since it is fast and very maneuverable (100 Gs)

Controls

VTOL - Controls altitude while hovering
Activate 1 - Canopy
Activate 7 - High physics mode (increases max speed)

The A-wing will try to hover and maintain altitude at speeds below 100 IAS. When hover DO NOT go upside down or roll to the side to much or the plane could shoot towards the ground at high speeds.

IMPORTANT

do not use the high physics button while in low physics or if you are playing on oculus. It increases the max speed but if you are in low physics mode and reach the max speed you will explode. The landing gear also gets unhappy in low physics but it doesn’t really affect much, it’s just annoying.

100 upvotes and I’ll make a Y wing!

Disclaimer:
My A wing is not entirely accurate ): it is kind of a cross between the rz-1 and rz-2. I also didn’t include the concussion missiles or the rotating cannons. The body shape is also not perfect and I didn’t add the slit for the tow hook. However I think that it looks really good anyways and most people wouldn’t notice these inaccuracies if I didn’t point them out

Finally and most importantly:
