THIS PLANE IS GOLDEN TO COMMEMORATE MY RISE TO GOLD STATUS!

(Pre-flight instructions below)

Fluff:

After the great war, the Conwing Aviation Company was faced with the task of upgrading their aging fleet of flying boats. With high demand for more powerful planes that could carry heavier loads, they turned to their tried and true split tail design, the Conwing L-16 Cayuga (Famously known for Higher for Higher LLC's flagship, the Seaduck).

The new ship, based on the Cayuga air frame, would boast a more sleek fuselage, and more robust superstructure. The old WASP radials were replaced with newer, more efficient Khan Industries KH-J-250 Turboprops, adding additional power and increasing it's effective payload. Finally the wing pontoons were moved inboard and set directly under the engines to reduce stress on the wing while the plane is at rest in water. Overall the design saw a 40% increase in efficiency and was a huge success.

The new plane shipped with a limited Golden Goose Edition, giving those new buyers extra incentive to have the fancy golden planes heading their light shipping jobs.

This started out as a project to design my own custom sea plane. However, I started to realize how much it was resembling the Conwing L-16 (AKA Seaduck) that I decided to make it the successor to the old L-16 model. So i present to you, the Snowgoose!

Pre-flight checklist:

From land:

Activate G-2, slider almost to top, deactivate.
Activate G-3, slider down half a notch, deactivate.
Center VTOL activate G-1 and take-off.
Slider up to raise gear.

From water:
Activate G-1 and slider up to top. Deactivate and center slider.
Activate G-2, slider almost to top, deactivate.
Activate G-3, slider down half a notch, deactivate.
Take-off using gradually increasing thrust.

When landing, throttle down to about 20% on your approach. Don't throttle back all the way until you're about to touch-down. Low speed handling on this beauty is a little lacking, so be careful!

HAPPY FLYING!

@LjSpike Uploaded some pontoons. Nothing new, just what I've done so far all in one place. I also uploaded a DIY seaplane if you'd like to check it out.

My favourite bit: The landing gear! Honestly, Im so picky about landing gear on planes, but its amazing lovely pontoon landing gear you've made here.
