Dragon Flyer 2 is the second incarnation of my ornithopters.
It now has a cockpit with fully functional instruments.
While the layout of the instruments may be a little unique, they provide the pilot with all the information needed. (Switch the HUD of Simple Planes off for best effect.)
The eight wings allow for a very smooth flight.
Controls:
AG1: Switch between “Active Flight Mode” and “Glide Mode”.
AG2: Open cockpit.
Landing Gear: Retract or extract the legs.
How to fly:
When on the ground, switch to “Active Flight Mode” with AG1.
Trim abt. ½ up and put throttle to full. Dragon Flyer 2 will take off automatically.
After takeoff put trim down to a little above 0.
Landing:
Put Dragon Flyer 2 into “Glide Mode” with AG1.
Trim automatically goes fully up to prevent control loss.
Glide down to the landing site.
Extract the legs with "Landing Gear" and pitch back before landing.
Retracting the legs on the ground lets the aircraft “lay down”.
Enjoy flying…
