Kh-38/Kh-38M (Russian: ?-38) is a series of air-to-surface missiles, designed to replace Kh-25 and Kh-29 missile series. The basic configuration of Kh-38M was announced at the 2007 Moscow Air Show (MAKS). The first prototype of the missile originally had folding wings and tails for internal transportation, and various seekers for different variants. Different warheads (fragments, cluster munitions, penetration) can also be installed. The Kh-38M is designed to replace the Kh-25 and Kh-29 missile series. It can be used by fighters such as Su Huoyi Su -34 and Su Huoyi Su -57, and it is planned to be integrated into kamov Ka -52K helicopter. The first test shot took place in 2010 and was conducted by Su-34, and was ordered to start production in 2015. In the successive version published in MAKS 2017, both control surfaces are replaced by longer and narrower fixed surfaces, which is similar to the solution used in Selenia Aspide missile.
