Development history

Year 2009

Nothing peculiar happened this year. However, Ruskovian Mil Mi-24 are showing their age. So, Ruskovia decided it's nest to upgrade their fleets of Mil Mi-24. Even though the Kamov Ka-52 are already in its place, They still doesn't have the role of a transport gunship, so they're unfortunately left out of favor for the bigger and bulkier Mil Mi-24 airframe.

The design was though up until 2010, when the unique twin boom design and coaxial rotor design of that Kamov helicopter are considered for better performance and aerodynamics. The Construction begin in December 2010, when Mili-24 airframe we're modified to be the new version of itself.

On 27th September 2011, the first airframe was finished and left the factory, it took it first flight on 29th September 2011. It's unique design catches many eyes of spectators, as it was unlike anything they've ever seen before. Twin boom configuration, has never been used on a helicopter before, until now. The aircraft, was called the Mil Mi-96.

Currently, there are 102 Mil Mi-96 in Ruskovian hands, and imports are being considered. Even though it is an impressive, it might be way too high tech for it's time. With its multiple targeting system and camera system. However, it rules the Ruskovian skies whenever it roars.

Anyways, surpassingly enough (or unsurprisingly) this build is inspired by the Forever Winter Super Hind, so I think that this helicopter would appear later in the timeline but eh, I ditched it.
