Junkers Ju 287
75 ww2planes
8.9 years ago
The Junkers Ju 287 was a prototype plane developed by Germany to test the effectiveness and plausibility of a jet powered bomber. The forward swept wings were chosen because they allowed the plane to operate well at low speed and for the placement of two jet engines and a large bomb bay at the front of the plane. Being a prototype built during the later stages of WW2, all the parts from the plane were scavenged from other German planes. This model attempts to mimic both the flight characteristics and appearance of the original plane.
