The C-50:
The C-50 was a twin engine turboprop feederliner developed to compliment the successful larger and longer-range C-135 turbo-prop and C-100 Jet (soon) on shorter lower demand routes and could carry from 45 to 55 passengers in relative comfort.
The C-50 sold relatively successfully, better then expected when it was developed, with good return on investment, and served well not only in its intended role, but also, due to its efficiency and range, on medium haul - lower demand routes.
Some C-50s still fly to this day, and other examples are preserved in museums or private hands.
