The Focke-Achgelis-D2 was a part of the German jet reconnaissance program during WW2. It used an advanced varient of Junkers jumbo jets for its propultion systems, giving it a higher speed than most planes German fighter jets at the time. Develop at the end of 1944 the D2 didn't see much service, but the service it did see, and the information recieved from this aircraft proved vital, especially during operation watch on the Rhine. (Note this Aircraft and Background is entirly fictional, so don't drop a 500 pound Fritz-X knowledge bomb on me.) The main draw back of this plane was the fact that it couldn't manuver as well as other recon aircraft.
