Description:

The Boeing F/A-18E Super Hornet is a multirole, midwing, tactical twin-engine, fourth-generation++ fighter of American origin with all-weather capability, to be embarked on aircraft carriers. It's highly maneuverable, due to its good thrust-to-weight ratio, digital fly-by-wire control system, and leading-edge extensions, which allow the Hornet to remain controllable at high angles of attack. It was developed in the 1990s by the McDonnell Douglas company [integrated into Boeing since 1997], based on the F/A-18C and D Hornet. The aircraft's power is provided by two F414-GE-400 turbofan engines from General Electric. The engines are an advanced derivative of the GE F404 engines installed on the Hornet.

Features:

Working afternurner above 95% throttle, using VTOL nozzles to make it more realistic.

Super Hornet replacement:

Just as the F-35C will replace aging F/A-18 Hornets and complement Super Hornets, the F/A-XX will replace aging Super Hornets in the 2030s and complement the F-35C.

Controls:

AG1: Hook.

VTOL: Wing Fold.
