McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II [V2]

>>>VERSION THREE<<<

VERSION TWO of my McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II, with many improvements from VERSION ONE.
This version has an issue where the rudder pedals were accidentally connected to the fuselage, and don't move. If this bothers you, HERE's a fixed version.
HERE is a low part count (777) version for lower-end PC players.
HERE is an ultra-low part count (495) version for mobile players.
Click HERE for an RP video :).

Thank you for the feature guys! - And 4K downloads! :D

Aircraft includes all custom control surfaces, a relatively detailed fully functioning cockpit + augmented camera, working afterburner with realistic VFX, and many other features I spent way too much time on.

Changes from previous version:

Major:
- Added custom engine nozzles with realistic afterburner capabilities
- Increased manoeuvrability
- Increased stability during high-flap manoeuvres
- Added fuselage and stabiliser detailing
- Added folding wingtip capability
- Added tail hook
- Added opening cockpit canopies
- Added folding wingtips
- Added opening chute hatch

Minor:
- General fuselage shape refinements to realism
- Moved and resized decals
- Strengthened gear shocks
- New chute lever
- Replaced chute lever with tail-hook lever
- Removed AG-6 switch functionality
- Fixed incorrect connections in cockpit
- Coloured certain gauges in cockpit
- Reshaped certain gauges in cockpit
- Redid compass gauge for realism
- Many other minor fixes, e.g fine tuning fuselage piece positions

The Augmented Cockpit-Camera will Pitch, Roll and Yaw with accordance to the aircraft, to simulate pilot inertia. The gun-sight will adjust accordingly to stay straight, though will only go as far as the gun-sight allows, and will not fully track the camera. The effect is relative to the speed of the aircraft, going faster will increase the effect.

To activate afterburners, set throttle to 100% and activate AG1. Afterburners will only engage in this state.

The custom engine nozzles will contract while increasing power, but fully open for afterburners. (It's really cool :D)

Nose wheel steering is only available when gear is in the down position and travelling less than 40 mph

Wings and cockpit canopies will automatically move into flight position when travelling above 30 mph, if they were raised previously.

For maximum flap effectiveness at high speed, do not extend more than 30% out. Only use 100% for landing. In addition, if you set VTOL up, the flaps will push the plane downward, though the visual flaps and flap indicators in the cockpit will not show this.

Please note the aircraft yaws right slightly whilst on the runway, easily correctable by tapping Q, and also very slowly rolls right while flying. Reason unknown.

Controls:
[AG-1: Afterburner]
[AG-2: Lights]
[AG-3: Release Bombs]
[AG-4: Cockpit Canopy]
[AG-5: Fold Wingtips]
[AG-6: Tail hook]
[AG-7: Chute]
[AG-8: Cockpit lights]
[VTOL (Down): Flaps]
[Trim: Trim]
[Camera-1: Augmented Cockpit]
[Camera-2: Navigator Cockpit]

Great Plane, way better than my other F-4 Phantom, however for me the wheels are very buggy. They will break of even just landing and sometimes when taking off. I use the LP version if that's different at all.

Here’s something you didn’t expect to see today
Some random Lorax quotes I found in my trash can
The trees can’t be harmed if the Lorax is armed
-sun Tzu the art of Tree

I am the Lorax and I speak for the trees and for some reason they’re speaking Vietnamese

That’s scary stuff said the Lorax after getting gunned down by Trees.

@CheeseTruffles I have no idea, my 1 key works fine due to me typing this lol and enabling the AG in-game. Ill just tamper with it and see if i can fix it

@lolcreeper45 That's really odd... I just downloaded it and it ran perfectly. Are you sure it isn't an issue on your end? Maybe your 1 key is broken or something? You're the only one out of 2000 people to have this issue...

@CheeseTruffles yes, i did exactly that to start with (you stated that in the description of the plane, its kinda hard to miss lol) but still nothing

The throttle must be at 100% AND with Activation Group 1 on (it wouldn’t make sense to be able to engage afterburners at say 25% thrust) @lolcreeper45

This Phantom looks excellent, one of my favorites tbh, but i have one issue in-game - the afterburners seem to not be functioning. Is there something im doing wrong? (i looked through the controls and i seem to be doing it right lol)

There’s some very good things about this build, you obviously put a lot of work into this and it shows. Flight dynamics are pretty good, features and functionality are excellent...lots of Funky Tree work and it shows. The cockpit is interesting, but it’s a little too big for the Phantom’s proper mold line. You could have colored the bombs the proper O.D. and put the Interceptors on the fuselage stations as the were in RL, but this is a nice build, good work.

Well, I don’t think I should really release a third version just to reduce roll rate since it’s such a small thing. If it really annoys you because of realism (I understand) the aileron wing piece is inside the dihedral wing. @ChisP

Well the maneuverability is good it’s just the roll rate is a little high@CheeseTruffles

Here's a 495 part version. It's pretty much just a fuselage, wings, engine and very minimal decoration lol. @CookieCrumz
