At the time of its creation the Scimtarplane was Maywar's best aircraft ever produced, so good it made all its other aircraft designs obsolete. Given Maywar's neighbors' lack of a decent airforce the Scimtarplane was only ever contested by the Wright federation's Flycraft and Prodemore's Rattlebird.

The Scimtarplane had a great climb rate for it's time, with more than sufficient speed; these allowed it to double as an ultra light bomber during Maywar's times of uncontested air superiority. It also performed well as an interceptor against the Wright federation's bombers and torpedo fighters when the Wright federation declared war to Maywar.

Removal and/or reconfiguration of the secondary armament is advised, it was included to display the weapons in a fitting colour palette.

When compared to other G1 fighters, the Scimtarplane has an average speed, diving speed, and turn rate, its climb rate however is clearly above average, because of this it is recommended to repeatedly dive onto opponents and quickly pull up to recover altitude during dogfights; directly facing the enemy is advisable when you are the target of a dive.
