LTV XC-142
The XC-142 is a Ling-Temco-Vought designed, experimental tilt-wing, transport plane used by NASA. Excellent for vertical or short take-off. It's first flight was September 1965. There were only five built, despite successful performance.
> CONTROLS
• 1 unlocks tail pitch rotor
• 2 unlocks prop nozzle angle (VTOL) (prerequisite to achieving thrust)
• 3 unlocks primary wing pitch (VTOL)
• 4 unlocks rear landing gear (VTOL up). Activator 1 may be left on but it is important to use each other activator separately.
> VERTICAL TAKE-OFF
• Full throttle
• Move VTOL slider between top marks
• Activate 1 & 2 aircraft will begin to rise
• Deactivate 2 and return VTOL slider to center
• Activate 3 and slowly adjust wings forward while keeping aircraft level
• Activate 4 and Gear Up to retract all landing gear
> SHORT TAKE-OFF
• Full throttle
• Move VTOL slider to upper-middle mark
• Activate 1, 2 & 3
• Pull up
• Deactivate 2
• Slide wings forward (VTOL)
* To level your forward flight, compensate with the tail prop (PITCH) and lock it in place (Activator 1) or use your primary wing orientation
> LANDING
• Ease throttle back 50%
• Slowly adjust wings back when nearing LZ at low speed
• Use caution, as you will airbrake like Matthew Mcconaughey. Don't jump the trigger.

32.7k Wakescar@DrWaffles Thanks! You have to select -read more- at the bottom of the description. It is a difficult plane to pilot. But if you follow the directions closely with a little finesse, you'll get the hang of it. It's not your conventional VTOL plane by any means9.7 years ago
