DAC-F1

1,138 Kaveman  9 months ago

DAC's main experimental Fighter, the F1, was developed to replace the aging and undeveloped P-51B. While it was loved, the P-51B was developed and the F1 underdeveloped. In 1943, the F1 was given better armament of 2 20mm cannons and 2 .50 cal guns (AG1), and was given a WEP system. The Plane also has contrarotating Props, and is liquid cooled, with the engine being somewhat similar to the P-51.

In the interior, there is the trim, which controls trim, AG1 is guns, AG2 and VTOL down is flaps, which aren't added to the exterior but help with taking off. anything over 99% throttle is wep, where the jet engine turns on and gives a small boost, and the intake closes off a little bit. The Canopy lever controls canopy.

    @teodor99 Alright. I have a plane coming up based on the Ta-154, But I have to get the wings sorted out first. It's an older plane I made on mobile, so I have to redesign the wings a little

    @teodor99 I was working on the realistic version last night, and after removing the rear fuel tank, I added the engine and was able to fit a somewhat realistic V-12

    @Kaveman i see. tho id probly advice you to put the canopy a bit forward and lengthen the hull to accommodate said engine

    @teodor99 It would have been at the back if sp required engines. It would have been smaller, since it's liquid cooled, but to offset the weight difference I went with a fuel tank instead for more range

    @SchweizerLuftCorporation are you saying the canopy lever?

    @Kaveman it's Control-Lever-3 that it "missing part".

    Also, i just started to see it and did it like in the last jet i did.

    it looks cool. but if i can be a nitpicking annoyance. wheres the engine placement? since it doesnt seem to be enough space in the back

    @SchweizerLuftCorporation Also, I looked into some of your posts, and if you want realistic power/weight ratios with high speeds for jets, set fuselage drag to 0, specifically with wings. The drag with jets is strange in this game. Props are fine, but jets don't work with high drag.

    @SchweizerLuftCorporation Thanks! I'm sorry you couldn't download it. I didn't mod this plane, so I don't know what part would cause the problem. Also, the wing tips were my choice. I wanted to have clipped wings, mostly cuz I think they look best with this type of pusher config. And I'll keep updating this, first with the gear bay.

    Looks like a nice plane you did! But i couldn't download it since i got a "missing part".
    Now, what you can improve is the wings tips. Try to do them like they are getting little. See my last plane, you'll understand.
    And efter that, you can try to do realistic gears with it's empty container. Same, you can go see what i mean by seeing my last post.

    Continue like this! You are very good ;)
