Naval Advanced Tactical Fighter

The NATF-23, also known as the ''Naval Advanced Tactical Fighter'' is a concept developed by Northrop Corporation in the 1990's after the loss of the YF-23 Black Widow II. The NATF-23 was a carrier-capable multirole stealth fighter that was cancelled because the Navy simply didn't need another fighter. The F-18 was already undergoing upgrades and the Navy's budget was too small for a new aircraft, especially a stealth fighter like this.
