Ah, the 1950s, A time of beauty, innovation, and questionable treatment of others.
After the second world war, the AutoVix Cooperation switched from making bomber fuselages, to developing their own fleet of cargo aircraft, this took off and eventually in 1949, they started designing a cargo helicopter which lead to the development and production of the S-42 Dome cargo helicopter in 1953.
With room for 2 pilots, 6 passengers, and a payload capacity of 80000 pounds. This helicopter was the pinnacle of its time and served several companies for 50 years, before it was enventually retired.
