Aircraft Lore
In 1991, Oshiri (which is basically just Japan) desperately needs a replacement for their aging AH-6J Hopperwolf, The AH-6J Has been operational for over 40 decades by now. So, the Oshiri National Defense Force (ONDF) Tasked car and former aircraft manufacturer Fortubishi to create a brand new state of the art attack helicopter for the ONDF. To cut cost and time, Fortubishi use an already existing AH-6S Super Hopperwolf fuselage from the Osevan manufacturer Southern-Martin. By extending it's payload wing for more wing mounted weapons, and not using any rear rotor to stabilize it, it was quite a radical design even for it's time. Having twice the payload capacity, and using state of the art Gyro to stabilize the aircraft during flight, but that doesn't mean this aircraft is flawless. The aircraft suffer from many mechanical issue, from malfunction Gyro, to even non functioning one, however this issue hasn't taken any life as of yet. Because of its difficult maintenance, and costing twice as much as an AH-6J Hopperwolf, only 137 were made.
Despite it's infamous reputation however, it doesn't mean that the aircraft is not famous at all. In 2004, 2 of the AH-66 from the Houndo squadron which is United 032 and 033 were used to film a brand new Godsaurus movie, this screentime on the cinema alone make this aircraft quite infamous with Godsaurus fans, making it an iconic pairs between this shark toothed demon and a gigantic monster roaming the night city of Tokiyado, Oshiri.
