1 operates turret pitch. 2 operates flaperons. 3 for arresting hook. In the late 30's, Ridge Aviation persued a military contract for a more flexible Torpedo Bomber. The answer was to mix heavy machine guns, bombing for both land and sea targets, and twin cannons, making a very formidable multirole, medium bomber. The Steward was successful through trials and earned the name "Jack" for being the jack of all spade's in its class. Very few are surviving today, and now you can fly one. enjoy!
