ASF-X -Nagase-
The ASF prototype flown by Kei Nagase during the events of Ace Combat: Ikaros in the Sky. This is a revamped edition of my Shinden II with new features and better performance in all areas.
Includes:
- New paintjob!
- Improved stability for hovering
- Increased power
- Smoother bodywork on intakes
- Animated leading edge slats.
- More marker lights! (AG1)
How to fly:
- VTOL down is V/STOL mode. VTOL 3/4 is dogfight/handling mode, and 100% is full afterburner speed mode. Neutral VTOL is cruise mode. (minimum fuel consumption)
- 70% thrust for VTOL takeoff, and 55-60% to land.
- 63-64% thrust is neutral hover at full load and fuel.
- The plane will naturally lean back in hover mode, so be sure to keep the nose in check. (This tendency assists landing and performance)
Landing Vertically:
minimise thrust and switch to vtol mode. Reduce speed, and apply just enough thrust to keep the nose above the horizon. In this fashion you can gradually reduce speed to zero, and shift into a hover. Gently reduce thrust and keep nose up to land.
I hope you all enjoy the massive amount of work and testing that went into this ongoing project!

@flightboi01 I still browse these pages now and then. Anyway, this was built before an update that changed how connections worked, and it sort of messed it up.
You'll need to look for the hinge on that side either by finding it through the tiny panel gap, or by nudging the wing piece a notch or two to expose it. Then you just need to invert it and move the wing back, and that should fix it.
Hi, Sorry to bother you since you probably don't use this anymore, but the right side of the wing doesn't fold properly, going up instead of down. Any suggestions to help?
@Benkelmans Where am i at? Working, MMO's, and generally other games. Haven't made anything on SP in forever.
@LukeDaDuke I browse around now and then, but I don't really build anymore.
@KCferrari are you still active?
Amazing takeoff stuff and detail work.
This is truly awesome. I definitely want to recognize the effort put into this.
@KCferrari Are you going to make new aircrafts after the release of AC7?
@Dutterbro1 Sorry, but i'm not actively building nowadays
@KCferrari sorry if this disturb you , but do you take request?
@typeZERO I've been pretty inactive with work and other games, but I'll keep it in mind, if I ever get back to actively creating
Comrade... Can you make the Cariburn?
Please....
@KCferrari ok
@PyrusEnderhunter You can mod, but make it different enough to be worthwhile, and of course give credit where it's due
@KCferrari can I mod though?
@KCferrari oh. K.
@PyrusEnderhunter Sorry, I don't build custom requests
@KCferrari I have a small request for u plz. I may need a plane for the I.S.F.O.S marine core similar to this. Except I need the plane to not have a huge intake.
Much Amaze
Very nice design! good job
@OtherNigel Forward swept is no different from reverse swept. Drag is determined by the leading edge angle and the amount of surface. An F-18 for instance has a similar leading edge angle, but since the tip of the wing leads, this design benefits from a more forward center of lift, increasing maneuverability. You have to remember that wings are quite thin and cannot "push air" by cupping or containing it.
Strange wing design, seems like it might push air and slow it down
@KCferrari No problem :)
No Chiper @KCferrari ?
Np!
