ABOUT THIS PLANE:

The XFA-114 Variares is my Silver rank special aircraft following the success of the COFFIN Technology Demonstrator. XFA-114 is the production version of the COFFIN Technology Demonstrator. Like the COFFIN Technology Demonstrator, it was also inspired by the mock-up display at the Zhuhai airshow. The name of the aircraft XFA-114 Variares comes from the Beyblade: Metal Fury 4D Beyblade called “Variares D:D” with a product code of BB-114. I decided the nickname to be Variares because they resemble a similar mechanism.

AIRCRAFT DESCRIPTION:

A next-generation stealth fighter aircraft developed after the technological advancements made by the COFFIN Technology Demonstrator. The XFA-114 incorporates an experimental semi-automatic 3-round burst Rail Gun nicknamed “Pantheon”, an internal weapons bay that can carry up to 4 weapons, and external pylons offering a wide range of combat flexibility. It has an onboard experimental Active Protection System that can deter any projectile that may harm the aircraft. The XFA-114 also features a variable wing system enabling the aircraft to perform Post-Stall Maneuvers without Thrust Vectoring Nozzles enhancing the aircraft's stability and maneuverability in all situations. The XFA-114, like aircraft that utilize COFFIN such as the XFA-33 and ADF-01, does not feature a traditional cockpit with a glass canopy or front windows and thus operates with an AI system called "Z.O.E.," which provides information to the pilot via sensors all over the aircraft, far more effective than a co-pilot. Its nickname is “Variares.”

  An experimental Railgun that is specifically built for the XFA-114 that boasts a 3-round burst semi-automatic firing system an improvement of other rail cannons that came before it, specifically the X-02S Strike Wyvern's "Arclight" EML and the CFA-44 Nosferatu's "Purgatorio" EML.

  A short-range all-aspect Air-to-air missile that has a wide lock-on and homing capabilities allowing them to hit targets across a greater range than other missiles.

• Onboard Active Protection System
  An experimental Active Protection System that generates a large shield of electric energy to destroy incoming projectiles and aircraft that are caught in the field. It can stop attacks from all directions, even from powerful weapons like cruise missiles. However, this iteration used by the XFA-114 is only in its early stages making the large shield only temporary and more like a pulse than a field forcing the XFA-114 to use conventional countermeasures of Flares.

Controls:

• AG-1 = Afterburners

Landing Tips:

• Set the Throttle to 20% and maintain a speed above 200 mph, Stall Speed is less than 200 mph, Brake when close to the ground, and then set the Throttle to 0% at Touchdown.

PSM Tips:

• Activate 2 then set Throttle to 20%. PSM is available at below 200 mph.
• It will take some time learning to do proper PSM because this aircraft doesn't have Thrust Vectoring Nozzles.
• Constantly Pitching up below 200 mph will result in an uncontrolled vertical spin. To recover control, Brake then counter the spin direction, and when the spin slows down set the Throttle to Max.
• Due to increased sensitivity by the PSM device be Careful with Yaw when AG-2 is activated.

Refueling Tips:

• At max tanker speed, set the Throttle to 28% and you can also use AG-2 for greater aircraft stability while refueling.

Note:

• This Aircraft is unforgiving to hard landings so land carefully.
• This Aircraft tends to pitch up at max throttle just use VTOL or AG-2 to balance the aircraft.
