Military Rocket Glider
Rocket powered surveillance glider on base.
1: Tracking Lights, 2: Rocket Release, 3: Glider Release.
To launch:
Turn on lights(1). *very important*
Boost engines to ~50%.
Release Rocket(2).
Accent speeds must exceed 75 mph.
Tap 'pitch down' to correct trajectory until horizontal at desired altitude.
Release Glider(3).
Glider releases best when horizontal above or below the rocket, with the engines cut, and between 200 mph and 500 mph.
Large pitch adjustments will cause severe tumbling on and off the rocket.
Can continue to glide as slow as 50 mph and as fast as 1000 mph(If you are careful).
Most effective speeds are between 100 mph and 250 mph.
Enjoy my first share!
Additional Info:
Base floats for water launches.
2 cameras, one on the base and one on the rocket, follow the glider.
2 Weightless Sleek Cockpits were used (downloaded from another user; not my creation)
FIXED: Not worth a re-upload; just add 100 lbs to the nose cone of the glider and it will handle nearly perfectly. (Should have done this sooner)

And where is Gordon off too?@SirTophamHatt
@ACMECo1940 Thomas is once again causing confusion and delay!
How are the engines doing on sodor@SirTophamHatt
@Samwise That happens to me all the time(minus the game crashing part) :) . remember to retract gear before separation and keep speeds at a reasonable level. Separating upside down helps too.
Very nice, I especially like how you made to takeoff platform. Upon beginning glider separation, I struck the rocket and went into an irreversible flat spin. The aircraft began spinning so fast that it acted almost as a helicopter rotor, dramatically slowing the ascent. Sadly, the game couldn't handle these questionable physics so I didn't get to see how it ended.
Yup @SirTophamHatt
@TTHHSSSS Well, the weightless cockpits help.
True! @SirTophamHatt
Lol I got the glider going 1000mph! It won't stop gliding! (Just paused the game while playing with it). The glider is also super manuverable!!
@TTHHSSSS Thanks! Not technically a first 'build', but the first noteworthy one so far.xD
This is really incredible for a first build! It's clear you put lots of work and thought into this! Great job!
