Hello, you guys! Hopefully there's some followers out there who've stuck with me and are still here to see this. But yeah, WWI-style bomber. Pretty much completely improvised it, blended a bunch of interesting elements from various French and German bombers from that era. Flies pretty well, has fairly realistic flight characteristics in relation to similar aircraft from those days. Great for making long-duration flights, but thanks to the sluggish speed has a pretty underwhelming combat radius. Maybe I'll release a companion single-seat fighter from the same era to fly with it, now that you can spawn multiple planes at once (which is awesome, btw). I already have a WWI-era two-seat biplane in my feed somewhere, called the D-6, if you wanna check that out. But in any case, let's get down to business.
I'm planning to release a new series of airplanes on the site fairly soon. They'll all be constructed using my panel-stick technique and be equipped with interior cameras, with some models featuring moving rotator parts. Basically all the features I put in my old airplanes, I'll be bringing back. Keep a lookout on my feed and the forum section of SimplePlanes if you're interested, since I'll be making a in-depth post about how this new lineup will be organized and when exactly each of the airplanes are scheduled to be released. Thanks a lot, everyone! I'm looking forward to finally returning to the SimplePlanes community. And as always, enjoy, leave a comment, and happy flying :)
