P47-RJ Thunderbolt 5.9
Introduction
Ever wondered what a true "bitser" would look like for a WW2 fighter? Well here we have a Thunderbolt fuselage, MB5 wing, Mustang fin, Bearcat tail and a FW190(ish) cockpit.
Designed to be a carrier capable version of the Jug, it includes an arrestor hook, folding wings and most importantly the sliding canopy so you can bail out when it all goes wrong.
Armed with 4no. 20mm Cannon it packs a punch, it cruises faster than the standard P-47 and has a higher top speed but needs care at low speed to avoid stalling. Surprisingly carrier landings are not too difficult and the big prop rarely contacts the deck when arresting.
Controls
AG1 = start the engine
AG2 = shut/open the canopy
AG6 = arrestor hook
AG7 = fold wings
