DarkStar 'Rayet Perigee'

Hyperdrive concept aircraft II. Start from the air and be advised, this thing produces a lot of power so get some altitude before going full throttle. The second aircraft in the Darkstar program, the Rayet Perigee is the first fully functional hyperdrive powered aircraft; the contra rotating booms are balanced this time. Due to the high levels of radiation produce by the gravitational isulation reactor, this aircraft is not safe for human habitation; as demonstrated by the large blue Cherenkov radiation glow when the hyperdrive is active. I'm really building these aircraft just to see if I can. This one is a huge improvement from the first aircraft in the program. Enj joy!

@EnderWiggin My railgun can avoid that issue.
@FuryionAircraft
One issue with a hyperdrive fighter, or any super fast armed aircraft really, is that you will outrun your own bullets and missiles. In real life it wouldn't be as much of an issue due to the relative speed of the aircraft to the projectile (unless it's a missile), but in simple planes your own bullets are deadly. I'm down though.
@EnderWiggin I have heard a lot about them. I was thinking of a hyperdrive fighter.
@FuryionAircraft
Sure, what did you have in mind? I'm trying to come up with a new challenge.
The Rutan Bros are amazing aircraft designers and pilots. I got to meet Burt a few years back at one of the Future of Flight Museum events on my airfield. Really cool dude ;)
@EnderWiggin I saw you mentioned the Rutan Brothers in you bio.
@EnderWiggin Thanks! Awesome HyperDrive by the way. Can we do a collaboration?
@EnderWiggin No problem!
@FuryionAircraft
You've got some awesome posts! You just earned a new follower.
@Halphas Thank You
I might have made it too fast... is 888948570 mph near the speed of light?
