Messerschmitt Me 163 B (Rocket Engine Test)

Ignore the nudged-in third wheel, do you know how ridiculously hard it is to make a working skid, especially in such a small aircraft? This wasn't made to build a perfect, detailed Me 163, but rather as a proof-of-concept that my rocket engine/JATO booster works really well.
(Tested on high physics settings)
Takeoff procedure: Activate AG 1 to start the rocket. Once you've done that, try to get the plane to bounce off the runway. When it's in the air, use AG 2 to detach the gear.
Landing procedure: When the rocket dies out, the plane suddenly becomes less stable, so be gentle on the controls. Landing is possible, but very difficult. You need to approach very slowly and steadily. Recommended landing speed: 100 mph

The Messerschmitt Me 163 Komet, designed by Alexander Lippisch, was a German rocket-powered fighter aircraft. It is the only rocket-powered fighter aircraft ever to have been operational. Its design was revolutionary, and had performance unrivaled at the time. German test pilot Heini Dittmar in early July 1944 reached 1,130 km/h (700 mph), an unofficial flight airspeed record unmatched by turbojet-powered aircraft for almost a decade. Over 300 aircraft were built, but the Komet proved ineffective as a fighter and was responsible for the destruction of only about nine Allied aircraft. (16 air victories for 10 losses, according to other sources.)

A very amazing design! I haven't seen any planes propelled by the in-game rocket before! Well Done!

Wow I love that concept to use a rocket as driving force. Big fun to fly this angry bird

@IStoleYourMeme Would adding fuel in the aircraft have any impact on how long the rocket lasts for?

@Physic5Lover Only the front two should come off. If they didn't, that happens sometimes, try it again.

IStoleYourMeme: THE LANDING GEAR DID NOT DETACH- I REPEAT: THE LANDING GEAR DID NOT DETACH.

I've just noticed that at really high altitudes, the rocket is strong enough to make the 163 beat Mach 2.....
This definitely calls for more testing. Perhaps this means rockets can be propelled by more realistic means!
