Auto Credit Based on klm747klm747's 747-402 Slat Done
Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well.
This is the first free part of my Boeing 747-400. I have outdone myself again, just compare this wing and the 757 wing!
CONTROLS
Brake- Brakes
Roll- Ailerons and spoilers
VTOL Down- Flaps (please put them down one increment at a time)
AG3- Reversers
AG8- Lights
Landing Gear- Landing Gear
You may notice the sheer amount of parts in the leading edge flaps.

@klm747klm747 Um my house is flooded
@Iceplane7965 what happened
@klm747klm747
@Sense2 sure did
@klm747klm747 YOU REPLIED AFTER 4 MONTHS
@Sense2 correct.
@JacksEpicGamingYT yes, just credit me
@klm747klm747 the boeing 747-300?
@BruhMomenthmgfbvbukjgv nope, @FoxtrotCharlieCharlieX finished it for me.
You never finish the boeing 747!
@KLM_747 you said all components? You mean all of wing or surfaces?
@KLM_747 no, problem is about your pistons
@Sinnacraft You can reduce mass to zero for all components if you want the flaps to stop shaking.
Something is wrong. Flaps aren't good because they start shaking too much
@UltraLight Yes, I read the whole thing.
@KLM_747 did you read it lmao
@UltraLight Thanks lol
I actually tried to download this(it is twice my part limit) and got about 2 fps... but I was able to look at some of your FT and you might want to consider this:
.
The spoilers might want to have some sort of cue to work for roll only on some occasions. I recently was fortunate enough to have made two 737 flights(one -800 and one -900) in the past 4 days and made note of the spoiler/aileron movements. And, whoops, I forgot to check the aileron FT so sorry if I am saying stuff you have already adressed.
.
The 737 and 747 are obviously different planes but they are the same manufacturer and very similar time periods of development, they might be similar a bit in flight computers and stuff. And btw all of this is coming from the right side, should be similar enough to the right.
.
The ailerons didn't move nearly at all. I knew they wouldnt move much because of stress on the wing, adverse yaw, and similar stuff but even on climbout, we pretty much used spoilers for roll, which surprised me since the ailerons are obviously more efficient.
.
On our roughly last 5-7 minutes of approach, we had the spoilers about 1/6th out on average(and changes in deflection for roll and additional speed control), although I knew our engines were not at idle as they were fluctuating both up and down in noise. Obviously, IRL you can add spoilers and also add power but that isnt a thing in SP because you need to be at idle to add brake. I assume the reason for the above is so that the engines can be spooled up and have faster reactions. And this tracks because our engines were all over.
.
To fix this, you could make a true/false setup to make sure the user is descending, slowing in speed, has over 10 degrees flaps, gear down, and any other obvious "landing soon" indications. If all parameters are met, or if maybe 80% or more of them are(I can help with FT on the 80% true thing, I have some ideas), then you could set approach spoilers, and maybe set the other 20% of parameters to the approach setup? IDK it's your choice
.
Also, on both flights, the right aileron was slightly up. Not sure about the other one, but there is a chance both flights were needing right trim, just unlikely.
.
TL;DR basically add some ft to the ailerons and spoilers and otherwise thanks for reading! It may have been interesting if anything.
Ummmm that is longer than I expected ^^^
@Thecatbaron OHHHH no wonder they wobble (I'll XML edit with notepad++ to get rid of drag easily)
I increased flap mass to stop wobbling lol
Also I tagged you on something else
Its very nice, I would recommended however that you set mass to 0 and drag to false, the drag will worsen the performance especially since this is a high part count, the disabled mass will prevent the flaps from wobbling around and such. Hope this helps!
@Thecatbaron because you inspired me to add more parts
@KLM_747 I managed to make this wing 700 parts or less
@KLM_747 Boeing 777
