𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓐𝓵𝓵𝓲𝓮𝓼 𝓸𝓯 𝓥𝓮𝓷𝓪𝓭𝓲𝓪

Unrest threatens the sanctity of the outer regions. The New Republic of Venadia has announced its desire for a new Air Force fleet to become a new and formidable power in the skies. Many designers, Engineers, and aircraft corporations have taken to the competition eagerly to grab hold of the 20 trillion dollar contract. Tensions arise as many participate. Bribery, kidnapping, and theft soar throughout the outlands as anyone is desperately looking for the latest innovations in Aircraft design, many hungry for this golden ticket.

𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐮𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠.
He has been gone for more than a month.
I knew him from across the street. A skilled Aerospace engineer, had put his home on mortgage to fund his hopeful endeavor of attaining that Air Force contract. He had hired me to help with his paperwork, there wasn’t much else to do these days. Since his disappearance I have only been around to sweep some dust and collect his mail, most of which were overdue bills, in hope that he would be found or return soon.

One cold morning while walking past ole Pet’s home, I noticed it had been broken into. I went in to investigate and had found much of the house in disarray. It was an unpleasant sight, and I had worried about Pet’s current situation. Hopefully he was still alive. His work area had been turned over like as if an accurate tornado had ripped through the room. Documents of Pet’s previous failed designs spread the floor, ontop of a business card i uncovered while kicking the sheets around.

Petroulus’s former company. Reach for the Sky incorporated. He never kept anything to remember it by. Said he hated the people who worked it, bitterly as he would countlessly recount his betrayal while I sorted his papers. Perhaps he simply had a card lying around, after all, he was the co-founder. But it didn’t seem like him at all to keep one around. Hell, he has a dedicated fire barrel outside to burn every mention of them that ever existed in his home.

There was nothing more I could do than hope, wish, and speculate. I went around the back to attend to some of my regular cleaning duties and decided I should give the place a facelift. The days had gotten far too quiet and I figured some work could help take my mind off things. There were some planks that needed to be replaced on the floor, I removed some nails pulled some out, and that’s when I saw it.

Through some cracks I saw a dim light, and I could make out a sort of room, nothing of which Pet has ever told me about. I decided to pull out some more planks and try to remove the underlay. As I progressed through the floor, a large room had uncovered itself. Filled with machinery, gadgets and computers. It was like a whole new world. I set myself down with an old ladder, and began to explore the room. I began to wonder where on earth the entrance to this room was. As I went through I came across a much larger and narrow room. Near the end was something covered in a large rag. As soon as my eyes caught it I was filled with excitement and nervousness, a shot of adrenaline. It looked like an aircraft.

I cautiously made my way to it, and gently removed its covering, to behold, the 𝐁𝐍𝐑𝐕-𝟐𝟐 𝐈𝐦𝐩.
