Flight characteristics

This radial-engined XP-13 has a top speed of about 270 to 280 km/h TAS with a cruise speed of 212 km/h TAS, slightly sub-par on the performance of its contemporaries Boeing P-12 (max speed: 304 km/h).

Flight tests were made, it is noted that it the stall speed is near or slightly highter than the take-off speed, and its minimum control speed was placed at 120 km/h.

Its turbocharger modifies the maximum RPM by 11% improving the service from 5,400 meters to 8,050 meters above sea level, it also improved its maximum possible top speed at level flight to 324 km/h.

This aircraft as built suffers from stability problems due to its heavy pitching and small rudder, any acrobatic maneuvers are not allowed.
