XMID-67 "Blackout"
Hey, it got featured!
This drone is fiction.
Introduction
The XMID-67 (Experimental Medium-ranged Intercept Drone) is a large stealth intercept drone developed via a collaboration between Indonesia and Russia. Designed in Indonesia in 2019 and made in Russia in 2022, this drone is the pinnacle of both countries. Capable of jamming enemy communications as well as radars, the "Blackout" can intercept an enemy quickly and swiftly with it's speed nearly matching the speed of sound. It also features stealth, which the main design are taken from the YF-23.
Features
The "Blackout" has features never seen in ordinary drones. It has large, sweepable wings, that when fully swept can decrease the chance of getting caught in radar (VTOL up to do this). Ceramic plates in the exhaust reduced 30% of the heat signature, above and below. Also, the long exhaust and the V-shaped tail wings decrease 20% more of the heat signature from below.
Controls
- Normal pitch, roll, and yaw.
- VTOL up to sweep the wings.
- Trim for trim
Note
This thing isn't fully stable. Remember, don't roll while pitching or yawing too much. After take off, don't let the controls go; it might try to crash down. Until 600 mph, you might wanna tune those Trims a little.
I can't really mess with any of the aerodynamics, it might just make it worse.
Sorry for the stability, i just wanna make this thing a bit realistic. So no hidden stabilizers (except for the wings inside the main body, which is realistic enough since the main body also provides lift).
Oh, also i ain't that good with details...

So, that's that.

@JetFighter huh, not bad this might have a chance after all.
@CenturiVonKikie fortunately enough, i have tried competing this against my own super-maneuverable aircraft (that i didn't upload and i don't want to) a couple times, and seems the AI on my phone flies this thing really well. This won 7:3 (yes, i did it 10 times just in-case, in random range). It mostly win on medium and long range, and loses on short. So, this thing's literally flyable by the AI.
Its a good design, but the drone challenge is based on combat, flight characteristics, and aesthetics, if the AI can't control all aspects of flight during combat then this might be one of the first designs to loose the challenge.
@MethaManAircraft Idk if i'll ever make it, but okay!
@JetFighter no problem man! now it's a race to platinum!
@Treadmill103 @MethaManAircraft @Roswell OH... MY... GOSH...
THANKS FOR GOLD!!!
Also congrats on gold!
Man i can't want to release my drone, also good drone btw.
@Generalkeath this will probably lose, anyway...
That's ebola level sick. Im still gonna destroy you tho
This looks hella cool, I hope we fase off in the challenge
