Hello everyone! I decided to do something different today, what I've created is a sword! Yeah, a sword, maybe you expected guns from me and aren't really too impressive, but still pretty cool looking! I had a really good time making this, it was a pretty relaxed build too so that's a nice change of pace. It's also the first Epochxian build I've done in a long time, so it feels right at home.

The Epochxians use of swords in a war with guns was a suprising one, although it would be logical to have these as back up weapons, they used them as their main form of weaponry at times as well.
To explain this, one must look at the way the Epochxian "military" is structured. It's not a conventional military, but a sorta messy one. It lacks a navy, marine force, but has only a land, and Air Force since that aren't fighting people, but creatures. Not only that, but their "soldiers" (called Vanguard) are broken into categories, what we are looking at here is a primary weapon of a Blademaster type of Vanguard. The Blademasters use melee weapons to attack their enemies. And wear heavy armour to defend against close up engagements.
This particular sword is a very common sight amongst the battle field where the Epochxians participated in. It can be held with either one or two hands making it ideal for use with a shield. It has a thermal core that burns at 2500° Celsius easily able to cut through steel and other such things.

Ummmm, okay... why u tell me this?
The Paternian Army uses machetes.
Basically, a sheet of 16 gauge steel cut into the shape of a machete, the edge sharpened, and pieces of plastic on either side to make a handle.
Works pretty well at involuntary field amputations of enemy personnel.
