Description

MOGS, or Mortar-Gerak-Sendiri, is a mortar carrier vehicle equipped with the ASELSAN Alkar 120 mortar system, which uses a 120mm caliber mortar. This system is equipped with a digital system that is able to provide precise calculations to attack enemies from invisible terrain. With perfect mobility thanks to the use of the APB-12A4 chassis, this vehicle is completely reliable.

More clearly, BGC and ASELSAN collaborated in the manufacture of this system, combining the latest chassis from the APB-12, namely the APB-12A4, which has the intended compatibility and performance. The system used is the Alkar 120mm made by ASELSAN as the manufacturer of this cooperation partner. The Alkar 120mm uses a rifled-barrel, but that can be changed depending on market demand. The Alkar 120mm has the performance it should have, a maximum firing range of 8000m and a minimum of 1500m, with a 1900mm long barrel.

The production results of this system are still used by Turkiye only, not fully marketed, but there is a big possibility that in the future it will be marketed in the national defense market. This is because there is still a need for in-depth evaluation of several specific aspects that are not specifically explained fully, however, this aspect leads to technical aspects.
