Background

The AA-02 Kyofu is an attack aircraft developed to replace the AA-01 Dragonfly which has been in service since 1987.
Starting to make its maiden flight on May 19 2025 and entering Air Force service on July 7 2026 and followed by the Navy on August 3, to replace STA-01 Swallows Kai, The Navy decided to replace Swallows with Kyofu because the Navy felt that the performance of Swallows as a Carrier-Based Aircraft was very less than expected.

AA-02 Kyofu began to be deployed into battle at the Battle of Juhad City and during that battle one AA-02 Kyofu was involved in a dogfight with two RA-18 Falin, Kyofu managed to surpass the Dogfight by shooting down one RA-18 Falin even though at that time the RA-18 Falin had more agile maneuvers than Kyofu.

In Naval Service, AA-02 Kyofu was first deployed in the Second Battle of the Yellow Sea, and also took part in the Battle of Okinawa Sea.

Vivi-3 Squadron
Vivi-3 Squadron or "White Tail" or "Black Skull" is one of the AA-02 Kyofu Navy Squadrons based on the Kaga Aircraft Carrier, This squadron is one of the three best aircraft carrier squadrons in the Mizuhara Navy. In the Battle of the Okinawa Sea, this squadron succeeded in sinking the Battleship Owari with the help of the TB-17 Saiun "Rabbi-3" Squadron from the same aircraft carrier. And in the battle of the Yumemori Strait on January 1 2030, this Squadron succeeded in sinking 3 Transport ships, 1 Destroyer, and causing the Battleship Tosa to suffer heavy damage.

Post Civil War
At the end of the Civil War, 102 AA-02 Kyofu were reportedly shot down or lost
