[Structure] Museum Ship I
Structures!!
a recycle of one of my failed projects.
originally, this was for a new kind of Targets, the [TGT_SIMPLE]
, she had an early working gun etc, but most importantly actually.. this ship in particular had been responsible also for developing Anti-Underwater Protection System(AUPS) which the aim is to nullify torpedoes... it failed terribly on that role, stock torpedoes are just too powerful for her, so she was eventually shelved...
but history needs to be kept alive, so enjoy her legacy as... a museum ship.
Structure #13
Museum Ship I "Christopher Caledon"
free to use
with or without credit as long as you don't claim that you made it yourself(i will smack your nose if you do)
[ Notes ]
- Anti-Underwater Protection System(AUPS) works by basically attaching torpedo nettings around the ship, however anyway else, the torpedoes would still have it's shockwave punch through the nettings and sink the ship anyway despite all. a lot of test were run including and not limited to upping health, lowing health, making it heavy, set it far away from the ship, etc etc..
- she is also responsible for early development of AiCan(Ai Cannon) that is installed onboard the Type-VIIC, however, it is by now outdated so its a good note of history in my book.
- she is based on the Giuseppe Garibaldi-class Armoured Cruisers, specifically the Spanish variant, the Cristobal Colon(pfft-)
